Avaya Aura® Communication Manager

Avaya Aura® Communication Manager is the open, highly-reliable and extensible IP Telephony foundation on which Avaya delivers enterprise Unified Communications solutions

Avaya Aura Communication Manager software delivers rich voice and video capabilities and provides for a resilient, distributed network of gateways and analog, digital and SIP/IP-based communication devices. In addition, Avaya Aura Communication Manager boasts robust PBX features, high reliability and scalability, and multi-protocol support. It includes advanced mobility features, built-in conference calling and contact center applications, and E911 capabilities. Communication Manager effectively scales from less than 100 users to as many as 36,000 users on a single system and to more than one million users on a single network.

Avaya’s flagship IP telephony, voice and video software, introduces a feature server option that connects directly to Session Manager from the application cloud, enabling SIP endpoints to register directly to Avaya Aura Session Manager and access telephony features on demand. It includes core survivability options, as well as a survivable remote option for branch locations. The complete Avaya Aura Platform, including Communication Manager, is now available in the Virtualized Environment option for deployment on VMware.

Communication Manager is a key component of the Avaya Aura® next generation architecture, which consolidates several previously separate products and new components into a holistic package that makes it easier to buy everything you need for Unified Communications. Communication Manager software is sold as part of the Avaya Aura Suite Licenses, which bring together all the functionality needed for common customer situations with a simple per user licensing fee.
